A mixed media original artwork composed entirely of hand-carved tree bark pieces .
Midnight Sun-What Colours do you see?
Midnight Blue? Indigo? Violet? Silver? Or something else?
Today, the Forest paints a story of the Sun and the Moon. The story unfolds across two canvases:
☀️ Right Canvas (12" × 24") — solar light in shades of blue.
🌙 Left Canvas (12" × 24") — lunar light in shades of purple.
When united, Midnight Sun reveals its first transformation.
This artwork was inspired by Rumi and the spinning dervishes founded by his son. The movement of the dervishes, spinning in a continuous circle, represents a journey toward connection, balance, and a deeper understanding of life. I wanted to capture that sense of movement and transformation in the artwork, allowing the viewer to experience the painting not as something still, but as something alive and constantly changing.

Artist Refelction
It was amazing to work on a painting while it was hanging in the air. I could spin it left or right and move with it as I painted. It felt so liberating.
